The story

Our Junior Villa is a larger, standalone villa with a spacious combined bedroom and living room, ideal for couples, families, or small groups. Step onto your private, covered 15sqm terrace with stunning sea views, furnished with a sofa, table, and chairs. Sleeping Arrangements: 1 king bed or 2 twin beds, 1 sofa bed with pull-out, accommodating 2–4 guests. Bathroom: a separate, semi open-air bathroom with double sinks, a spacious 2 x 2 meter shower, and natural airflow. Location & Highlights: direct beach and infinity pool access, snorkeling and diving from your doorstep with a coral reef steps away, sunbeds and on-site parking. Golf and day tours also available. The Resort: ABWonderdive is a boutique beachfront dive resort with 9 bungalow units in Kubu, Tulamben, including only 3 Junior Villas, with a peaceful, family-friendly atmosphere and warm, multilingual hosts. Our on-site PADI dive centre gives access to the USAT Liberty wreck and 30+ dive sites across Tulamben, Kubu, and Amed, with PADI courses for all levels. Dining (Breakfast Included): daily breakfast in our beachfront restaurant (6:30am–10pm), featuring Balinese, Indonesian, Italian, and international cuisine, with views of the Bali Sea and Mt. Agung. Wellness: beachfront yoga space with sunrise and sunset views of Mt. Agung, free yoga mats, and massage services available. Perfect for couples seeking a romantic beachfront getaway, families wanting space and comfort, and divers and snorkelers seeking direct reef access. You'll have full access to the entire Junior Villa and terrace, plus shared resort amenities including the infinity pool, sun loungers, and beach access. A baby crib can be arranged on request, subject to availability. We're always a message away for local tips or anything you need. The space

Plenty of space to spread out across the villa. 🚿 BATHROOM One full bathroom with a semi open-air layout, double sinks, and a 2x2m walk-in shower. Natural cross-ventilation keeps it comfortable year-round. 🍳 DINING Daily breakfast is included and served on our beachfront restaurant, with direct views of the sea and Mt. Agung. The menu covers authentic Balinese and Indonesian dishes alongside Italian and international options, plus an ice cream menu. The bar serves a signature ABW G&T and cold beers poolside throughout the day. 🌊 BEACH & POOL Infinity pool and sunbeds sit steps from the villa. The beach is direct access, no road crossing. The coral reef is just offshore, one of the most accessible snorkel and dive entry points in the Kubu area. Access

There's a single road in to the resort: pass the neighbouring Ocean Free Dive resort, bend left, and continue about 600m down the road to reach ABWonderdive. Our team welcomes you personally at reception on arrival and helps carry your luggage to your villa. There's no lockbox or self check-in — a staff member will always be there to greet you and get you settled in. If you have any trouble finding us, just call ahead and we'll help guide you the rest of the way.

Guest interaction

Hosts Bjorn and Alice live on-site with their team, and are always happy to help with dive planning, booking excursions, or anything else you need during your stay. They typically respond within the hour during the day, so support is always close at hand for tips, recommendations, or transfer arrangements. They love helping guests discover the best of East Bali.

Getting around

No public buses reach Kubu. We arrange private car transfers, scooter rentals, and driver-guided trips to dive sites, waterfalls, and Amed village, a 10-15 min drive away. Message us to sort your transport before you arrive.

We proudly work with experienced Balinese craftsmen, combining traditional building techniques with international design to create a unique blend of natural wood and stone throughout the bungalows, villas, and resort areas. The landscaping is inspired by Bali’s natural tropical surroundings, creating a peaceful and authentic atmosphere. Throughout the entire development and operation, we remain committed to supporting the local community and preserving the environment as much as possible. Arrival & Neighbour Access Upon arrival, guests may access the resort via the main entrance from Jl. Puskesmas. In some cases, local access routes may pass through neighboring residential or village areas—please be respectful of the surrounding community at all times, keeping noise to a minimum and following signage or staff directions. If you have any difficulty finding the resort, our team and driver partners are available 24/7 and can coordinate directly to guide you to the property entrance.
